Tittle editing

    Editing, the long process of taking all of our ideas and formulating them into something tangible and real outside of our minds. The title of the film opening is obviously a major component to the film opening as it represents the piece as a whole physically. Our film title font has gone through a long evolution regarding fonts, coloring or lack of, and incorporating a candle or not. We are now reconsidering our idea of editing the title so it appears to be melting off the screen like a birthday cake and candle wax melting.

    To make the melting more realistic, we decided to add more flames to the font on four more of the letters. We are also going to change the "birthday blues" title from having them be right next to each other to having the "blues" be under the "birthday". Subsequently, the font will drip from "birthday" to "blues" and finally off to the screen and will end with all the letters being blown out. To create this effect, my team edited the font, candles, and melting motion using the editing app procreate.
